Steps to being healthy and happy
In our busy and hectic lives we don’t often get the time to take a minute to feel more content. Here’s some tips on how to do just that…
Embrace mornings. Trying to start your day upbeat can be difficult but we would advise to take some slow breaths to wake up and use this time to reflect on how you are feeling. Perform some stretches to wake your body and then step outside for some fresh air.
Look for the good things. At the end of the day when you are just getting into bed, try to think of three positive things that happened that day, reflect on each one and how it made you feel.
Find exercise you enjoy. Instead of focusing on losing weight or keeping fit, find an exercise that you look forward to and that exhilarates you. Try something new like dancing, cycling, swimming or Pilates.
Keep perspective. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking something else has gone wrong. Even when everyone around you is getting worked up about something, try to keep calm.
Watch your words. Be conscious of how you communicate with others.
