Three rules to stick to this week

1. Add lemon to everything

Add lemon juice to salads, juices, smoothies to add detoxifying nutrients to your foods.

Did you know? Lemon is a good source of antioxidants which help the liver release enzymes whose job it is to neutralise toxic compounds.

2. Cut out potatoes

Although these vegetables are a great source of vitamin B6 and potassium they are also very high GI which can result in blood sugar levels increasing which can lead to you piling on the pounds.

Why not opt for sweet potatoes or even butternut squash as an alternative.

3. Go raw

Ever pulled a face when someone ate raw broccoli? Well, eating vegetables when they are raw means that they retain more of their nutritional goodness and they also fill you up quicker too which is great when you are watching the amount you eat!
